Igor Gracie Seminar Big Success!
All who attended can attest to the success of the Igor Gracie seminar on monday July 14th! It is a true honer to have the depth of knowledge passed along to us by the pioneers of our art. Igor relayed some his own favorite positions from the guard and a few sweeps and submissions from each. From beginners to advanced there was something for anyone and everyone!
After the seminar it was promotion time!
First some hard working white belts recieved some stripes on their belts. Bringing a few to their final stipe and the last stretch before blue belt!
Next three very well deserved blue belts were awarded to Frank Petrosillo, John Almendinger, and Luidgi Faubert! Congratulations Guys!
Following the current blue belts were also awarded some belt tips! Again bringing a few to their final stripe on the way to purple belt!
The energy and anticipation was high when George and Igor next presented three new purple belts to Dan Friar, Piotr Andrejko, and Chris Civello! These guys have been training at real world since the beginning and have shown the meaning of hard work and dedication!
The school roared with cheers when our No Gi instuctor Ioannis (H) Hronakis was awarded his brown belt! Way to go H!
George thanked to Igor and showed appretiation to all who came out. The seminar was thought to be over when George reached into his bag and pulled out two more purple belts! He called up Andy Main and Garrett Goldsberry as a huge surprise for both had just minutes previously recieved the last stripes on their blue belts! The school was filled with high spirits and congratulations!
